  This Is the 2nd condo at Pu’u Poa in which I’ve stayed and they were both perfect. I prefer to spread out and have living space when I vacation, rather than a tiny one-room hotel option, and the Pu’u Poa condos are just homey and cozy and Oceanside heaven. Two beds, two baths, great kitchen/dining area, fantastic living room and two breathtaking lanais with the best views you can get. I saw too many whales spraying and breaching to count, watched the fog dance around the mountain and drifted to sleep hearing the waves crash at our shore.
  Unit 305 was well-appointed, impeccably clean and had a sweetly-Hawaiian/island-style decor that, while a bit out-dated, was still nice, classic and understated, and invited you to just relax and enjoy your life in that precious time and space. Check in and check out was easy, communication with management was a breeze.
  The new hotel, 1 Hotel, opened up in 2023 and was a fantastic next door neighbor as their restaurants are gorgeous and serve great food, and literally are a 4 minute lovely walk from the condo. I was there for breakfast and dinner every day.
  The Pu’u Poa condos are quiet, feel very safe and are nestled in a beautiful community. I will definitely be back!

  The condo location was excellent. Great view and good size layout. Master bedroom was nice and the bathroom is huge. The beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels were very appreciated, as well as the extra bedding for the pull out couch. Accessing the condo was easy and plenty of parking. Access to Hideaway Beach and the neighboring hotel beach was super convenient. We also walked to Queens Bath trail. The kitchen was nice and very clean. The owner must’ve read the comments about the pans because they appeared very new. They were great. Plenty of dishes and utensils. The unit was overall very clean.
  
  A couple improvements would be to get rid of the lounge/rocker chair in the living room. The arms felt sticky, likely due to all the humidity. The back room window did not open up, so that is a tad claustrophobic. There were fans, though. There is no exterior lights on the patios, likely due to the complex and ensuring people don’t stay outside late and bother neighbors. It was fine for us and we BBQ’d early enough, but something to be aware of. The light bulbs in the dining light and master were glaringly bright, so we just loosened 3/4 and that made it much better.
  
  I was surprised that there is no hot tub at the pool area. That seems to be standard. But I suspect this is another way of ensuring that the place doesn’t become a party complex.
  
  I would stay here again for sure. Overall very good accommodations for our family.

  My wife and I stayed at the Pua Poa 12 years ago and I remembered the spacious lanais and spectacular views. This time we traveled with another couple (all of us seniors). The unit provided us everything we needed. The furnishings were outdated, but everything was neat and clean. We are not overly picky, but the only complaint would be that the lanai was in need of repair. There were several cracked tiles and weeds popping up between the tiles that housekeeping could have easily taken care of to make things more visually aesthetic . However, our focus is on the ocean and relaxation, so we easily got passed those issues. Overall we had a great time there.

  The Pu'u Poa condos are the ideal location to stay on the north shore. We had the most beautiful ocean view, a pool, and a short climb down to Hideaways Beach. #305 had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy cooking at the condo and visiting the beaches. Such a well stocked condo! The lanai could use some maintenance and lighting, but you don't notice cracked tile when you are looking at the sunset.

A few negatives were that there was no beach access that we could locate , but no biggie, we just hopped in our car and drove to one and there are plenty of beautiful beaches to choose from.   This wasn’t our first visit to a Princeville, so we knew we were coming to Paradise. The rental has two lanais with direct bluff/ocean views overlooking Hanalei Bay and ‘Bali Hai.’ Large sliders brought the outside into the open plan, two level living/dining/kitchen area.
  We were anticipating company when we booked this space, but we wound up having more than enough space for just the two of us.
  This location is fabulous. We walked 3to 5miles every day, drove to Hanalei numerous times, toured towns al over Kauai, visited an active regenerative farm, visited the lighthouse and other sights, and had cocktails and many meals on our beautiful lanai.
  This unit has a fully stocked kitchen and two large bathrooms. Our only criticism would be that there is a light fixture in the guest bathroom that needs replacing, and the lack of light in that tub space would have made it very hard for people using that bathroom to bathe.
  That being said, the rental company was very responsive in trying to resolve the problem, and hopefully, the next guests won’t have to deal with that.
  We were rarely home during the daytime, or construction noise next door could have been an issue, but our contract had stated that this might be the case, so we were pleasantly surprised that the nose wasn’t constant.
  The weather was perfect the whole time and we would come back to this property in a heartbeat.

  This was our second stay in these condos and our first in #305. The private entry opens into a spacious deck off the master, so you are able to listen to the sound of the crashing surf lull you to sleep. The furnishings are comfortable, well appointed and spotlessly clean as is the entire unit)The Kitchen is superbly stocked with every conceivable item you need to cook at home, all the while staring out to the open sea.The second deck is off the living area, very spacious with two loungers and a table to eat at . You WON’T want t eat anywhere else!
  The location is wonderful, just a short drive to Hanalei Bay village and Beach. I was prepared to say you cocudn’t ask for any more other than a few beach things, but half way through the stay, I opened a closet with anything you could want for a long day exploring the beaches, from boogie boards, to snorkeling equipment to coolers. If you want a luxurious, worry free escape in Princeville check out Rober’ts home. He was delightful to work with and the check in was seamless!

  We decided on a "stay vacation" at Puu Poa #305 and our 10 days far exceeded our expectations for the rental was just perfect. It was conveniently located in on the property with only a few stairs up to the entrance door. The interior was immaculate and well appointed. Our kitchen had every appliance one could think of and the views of the ocean and Mt. Makana were so delightful - one views the ocean from the living/dining/bedroom and sitting out on the lanai was a special treat early in the morning. I cannot thank the management staff enough for all their assistance and professionalism.

  Talk about a week in paradise!!! What a Great condo! You felt like we had all the conveniences of home and then some on the beautiful island of Kauai. We loved the two lanai's, the beautiful view of the ocean and falling to sleep with the sounds of the waves. We had a few issues that were a slight inconvenience, but most were taken care of with one phone call to the management company. (1) The breaker for the living room outlets kept tripping, but it was quickly repaired. (2) There was an issue with the refrigerator. The ice machine leaked onto the floor in the kitchen, it had to be turned off to avoid the water works, but even after turning off the ice machine we had constant water on the shelves of the refrigerator and had to use caution in removing food as the water would pool on any food product. So keep your food covered to avoid added water. The problems were small, and didn't take away from the beauty of the area and the amazing condo. We will definitely be back!!!

  Check-in/out was easy and pleasant. View from living room is great. View from master is at an angle but sound of waves is wonderful. There was some pool construction we were not told about, but it wasn't too bad. A bit of deferred maintenance on the property, but the main turn-off were that the linens were old and the comforters lack duvet covers - gross. Beach is trail is a bit of a rope-climb and the beach is small and so-so.

  THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The views, the accommodations themselves, and the location were all just perfect. Unlike some properties that manage to make a decent place look like a mansion, the pictures here don't do it justice. My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and we will plan any future visits around the availability of this home. We enjoyed the location to Hideaways beach and got our full share of snorkeling in. They provided fun beach supplies as well, and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and pleanty of the basics for cooking. The only two things were weren't prepared for was the lack of air conditioning, which truly you do not need once the sun sets with the fans and windows open, and the washer was not working properly for our stay. Re/max went above and beyond to help us with that problem and took our laundry away to do it and brought it back within 12 hours. We could not have been happier about our stay and this place.

  My wife and I stayed in this condo for 4 nights during our visit to Kauai. The condo is located in an ideal spot, with easy access to all north shore activities and adjacent resorts. Hideaways Beach is a short walk away and was very nice.
  The unit was clean upon arrival and had everything we needed. The view is spectacular and is clearly the highlight of the condo. Only complaints would be a few of the dishes were a little dirty and hadn't been cleaned all that well. Also, do know having no AC can get uncomfortable. We managed but between 12-5 it gets hot. We were usually out of the unit during these times so it was okay but I might try to find a unit with AC for our next visit. The appliances also didn't work very well - some of our food spoiled the first night because the fridge couldn't keep cool. The condo could use a little updating - it's got a little bit of a 90s vibe going on . Those are just nitpicky things and overall it was a very nice stay. We might book again here in the future.

  Excellent location in Princeville. Stunning views from throughout unit. It had everything we needed for beach adventure. Lovely private beach with great snorkeling just short trail hike down. Walk to beach in from of St Regis as well. Nicely decorated. Due to there being no air conditioning, it got really hot in there most days during the day, but would cool off for sleeping at night. Short stunning drive to Hanelei, where we went most nights for dinner Bc it's a lg drive to get anywhere else on island from princeville. This we were not prepared for. It forces us to spend most of our trip on north of island. However, it's also the most remote and gorgeous part of Kauai, so we knew what we were signing up for. Quiet and relaxing. Non touristy. No hustle and bustle. Paradise.

  Beautiful, upscale third floor condo (but with just a few stairs)fully outfitted to meet the needs of any family. My husband and I stayed here a week in early March 2015 after having stayed in the same location two years ago. We loved the beautiful view from the lanais (there are two)to the ocean below where you can see whales spouting and playing as well as folks surfing from Hideaways Beach. We loved going to sleep to the roar of the waves. We loved our morning walks on the golf course path. Only updates we noticed was that there was a new couch in the living room and a new electric grill and that the bedroom carpeting had been cleaned. One of the sliders leaked in a rainstorm, so we notified management who notified the owner. Easy to book with the rental company. Price was reasonable for the quality of the accommodation and for the location. These condos sell for well over a million dollars each.

  This was our 2nd stay here at this unit. Both times the place was well kept and clean. Photos shown are accurate of what to expect. We like the view from the deck and being lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean down below. We also like having carpets in the bedroom and living area since wearing shoes inside is discouraged. Only drawback was that the unit down below was currently being remodeled so we did hear construction noise. At least they were not there the entire day so we just went out when they were working. Would definitely stay here again.

  We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property, particularly at this price point. Whether its the gourgeous sunsets, the amazing starry nights, quiet (almost private) beach below or the many amenities in the condo, everything was better than expected. We really enjoyed the ability to cook instead of eating out and this place literally has every gadget in the kitchen... I would also note that we found the electric grill sufficient for our needs. Very spacious living area and jacuzzi tub was a plus. We even locked ourselves out at one point but luckily there is a resident property manager. One recommendation would be to replace the front door lock and the sliding doors/screens as they have been worn over the years by the ocean salt. Working with an established realtor made the process seamless and, in my view, keeps the premises clean and up to date.

  Our family of four (husband, wife, two teenage daughters) had a fabulous time on north shore of Kauai in Puu Poa #305. The unit has an amazing unobstructed view of the ocean! The unit is very comfortable, clean and spacious and is a great home base for exploring Kauai. We had a little trouble figuring out how to operate one of the ceiling fans and Angela with RE/Max helped us out immediately! The only things that might have made it even better would be better lighting in living room and master bath, and a few standard kitchen items for cooking, e.g. oil, vinegar, sugar, etc. Overall, we were very satisfied and would like to come back again someday!

  You can't beat the location as this is one of the few properties "Right On" the ocean. It's limited on the amount of properties so does not feel overcrowded. Having the St. Regis right next door was also an extra bonus. We were able to access their beach and also visit their restaurants for dinner. The only small complaints were that there is a very, very small "Table Top" BBQ which doesn't even have it's own stand. We also had some issues with the old cushions on the couch and ended up covering them with a clean sheet. Other than that, the kitchen was fully stocked (Except spices)the property very clean and a great place to stay. We would recommend this to anyone and hope to be back soon!

  This unit has a great view of the Pacific and Bali Hai. The unit was well decorated and beds were very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen was handy for meals eaten in. The only thing needed was a gas grill instead of the small electric unit. Also a blind over the front window in the master bedroom to block light from the outside would be nice. These units have some of the best views of the ocean and Hanalei Bay and a very large lanai to view them on.

  spacious condo with great view, walk to St Regis or beach. Lots of play toys but no basic spices/condiments in kitchen, although there were sharp knives and many kitchen utensils. Nice having the washer/dryer. Very comfortable furniture and although we didn't use the pool or tennis courts, they looked well maintained.

  We had a wonderful time staying at this condo as it is located in the best location of Princeville. We get to see sunset every day right in front of our balcony. The master bedroom is spacious and we can feel the ocean breeze. It is 5 minute walking to St. Regis hotel which was a plus as the beach at St Regis is very nice, clean, quiet and perfect for our 20-month-old son. We have been to Big Island and Maui but so far Kauai is our favorite thanks to the great experience we had when staying at this condo. We will
  definitely come back and stay at this condo again and again.

  Had the best vacation and would absolutely stay at the same property! View was amazing, hideaway beach was a treasure and location was ideal. Stayed with husband (46) and 4 kids (15-17) and we all felt the same way! Paradis! Drive around the entire island and would only stay on the north shore!

  I loved this condo. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and the closet had boogie boards and snorkels among other beach items. I gave it an overall 5 stars because it has been well maintained and the location is amazing. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars for the condition/cleanliness because when we got there it looked like the cleaning person forgot to finish putting away the towels. There were unfolded towels left on the bed which looked clean so we put them away. Also some of the white hand towels looked dirty and should be changed out with new towels. There were crumbs on the sofa, too. Unfortunately the dishwasher was out of commission but we were given a small credit which was nice. The balcony had small ants which was OK with us and I'm not sure if this happens year round - this was the first time we traveled to Hawaii in the summer. We just ignored them but we never were barefoot on the deck. Overall, however, we would stay here again because everything else was spotless. The views were breath taking and the sounds of the waves would literally sometimes be too loud that we closed the sliding doors at night so we could sleep! The condo had no A/C but that was never a problem. The fans worked well although the dining room fan should be changed since it went too slow so the air didn't circulate as well in the dining area. The climb down to the beach was tricky so keep at least one hand free. The first time down, we carried way too much stuff. The location is great for hiking the Kalalau Trail which we did on a rainy day (not recommended). The trail was super slippery and our white socks are permanently red/brown from the red clay ground (maybe how some of the white towels got dirty). This condo was perfect for our family of 4 plus my mom who joined us. It was roomy and comfortable and the views were beautiful.

  We stayed in this unit 5/4/13-5/10/13 and could not have been happier. We had 5 adults and 1 toddler in our group and this unit was perfect for us. Loved the location on the island, the kitchen was stocked with every utensil and appliance you could think of, and everything was clean and comfortable. The ONLY downside, was that the path down to the BEAUTIFUL Hideaways Beach below the condo was a little hard to travel. It was fine for an able-bodied adult w/2 hands to hold on, but we were too nervous to carry our 16month old down it. Unfortunate since it is a beautiful beach. But, no worries, since there are so many beaches you'll want to explore anyway. We loved every minute of our stay and can't wait to come back someday!

  With two large lanais directly overlooking the ocean, this 2 bedroom condo was ideal for us during the 8 nights we were there in Feb 2013. We are a family of three with one adult child who joined us on this trip. One night we walked over the St. Regis for drinks, another day my husband and son played golf on the Makai course which is also within walking distance. Condo is nicely furnished with an adequately equipped kitchen. It has a jacuzzi in the master bath and I was thankful there was another bath that we didn't have to share with my son. Every night we went to sleep listening to the crashing surf. It was lovely. Parking was ample for two cars.

  We had an awesome time at Pua Poa # 305! The view was excellent and even when it rained and we stayed in it was awesome. The rental agency was very helpful (we needed to rent baby gear and they helped to set that up - Kauai Baby Gear was great!!) and it was a smooth process. They actually had a Pack n Play at the unit, which would have been nice to know, but it ended up being nice having two. The pull out sofa was actually comfy, and we were missing linens so the housekeeper drove all the way from Lihue to bring us some sheets! So nice! Everything was clean and nice, and very livable for a family. 10 days were not enough... Need to return soon!

  Stunning condo with a million dollar view. Tastefully decorated and remodeled. Clean. 2 lanai's with furniture. The groundskeeper was super nice. He helped us get a Shearwater (endangered shorebird) to safety after got stuck on one of the lanais. Two snorkeling beaches within a 5 minutes walk. Would stay here again witout ever researching another condo on Kauai. Can't get better than this

  A beautiful, comfortable, spacious and well equipped condo in a great location, lots of balcony/deck/lana'i space and a wonderful view of the ocean. The owners have thought of everything. Two bedrooms, wake up to a perfect day in paradise from the main bedroom.Part of the Princeville precinct this is the place to be, with Hanalei Bay and Tunnels Beach about a 15 minute by car and a small shooping centre a 5 min drive. A short but steep walk to a beautiful beach below. Our sta of 5 nights was too short and we would definitely stay here again! Greg and Kim, Australia

  Had a great stay at the Puu Poa. Beautiful views, comfortable condo. Only had one problem with the gas grill. There was no propane when we tried to grill salmon one night. The property management company took care of it right away.
